We had always been procrastinating to get Jigsaw Puzzles of our pictures done, of cos with the assumption that Jigsaw Puzzle World would like hand it to us in a frame and all the pieces are like nicely matched together. But to our horror, you are not given such privilege unless you let the cash signs do the talking.
So of cos we didn't wanna waste RM150-RM250 just for people to do up the Jigsaw puzzle - because that is Cheat One! So we brought it back home with the attempt to do it up. The bf of cos as the scatterbrain, thought that I could build the jigsaw puzzle without a picture for reference. So I tried so hard to remember how the picture looked like and my attempt to build the jigsaw puzzle was fail dot com!
I know people like KY would be like 'of cos lah hard to do! your dogs all the same color!' Well very true! But mind you, we thought that it was going to be given to us as a final product and secondly we only got it done so that it is something memorable for my beloved pups Uncle and Stephy - the parents of Fatty and Ally.
Anyways, even with the picture on the screen, cannot make it at all! So I gave up - that's the 1000 pieces jigsaw puzzle. But of cos I feel damn bloody frustrated and upset, so I decided that I would prove myself otherwise and tried my second attempt on the 500 pieces jigsaw puzzle so that I wasn't overly ambitious and all, which actually turned out pretty well. I managed to get the frames done in under and hour and finished the whole thing the next day with the help of the bf of cos.
I think the both of us were overly determined to finish the jigsaw and si beh kiasu also. So that's why it kinda materialized to our advantage. But what actually annoyed me was the fact that the printing quality of the jigsaw is so bloody horrid! It's so bloody blur and distorted that you can't tell the difference between a mole and an eyeball, that kinda thing. I mean we purposely went to develop huge poster prints of the photos that we would like to convert into Jigsaw Puzzles, but they couldn't like get it right. Like WTF! The bf said probably they have to mail it to UK and the scan it again, which I felt was super stupid the fact that technology is so bloody advanced, why can't I just send you the super high-resolution files? I mean save postage cost, save time and save the hassle lor. Some more had to wait for 2 months only can get it. KNN
Anyways, photo updates of the Jigsaw chronology

Day 1: Building the Border

Made me so excited that I wanted to jump and work on it BUT it was like 2am and I knew that if I continued, I wouldn't be sleeping at all

Day 2: Worked on the Top Part of the Jigsaw before the bf came over to help out

The bf all excited when he arrived that he straight away started working on the jigsaw. No complaints about being hungry or asking whats for lunch and such. I think jigsaw puzzle would be a good way for him to lose weight as it diverts his attention away from food

Stressing trying to figure the puzzles out
We stopped for an hour to head out for Bak Kut Teh lunch with KY and gang at Puchong before we came back to continue

Wooohooo more that 50% completed

Almost there~!

:)

6 hours later we were down to 5 pieces, which just doesn't seem to fit anywhere
I swear we were so stressed out! Didn't even feel hungry until like 10pm

GAHHHHHH the EVIL 5 pieces
Then we managed to figure out 3 out of the 5 pieces and were down with 2 pieces and that was the hardest 2 among all! Worst then women PMS-ing because FML really kenot fit anywhere lor. So we took a break and went out to Delicious to tapao salad so that we can relax our eyes and come back again later to try and figure it out
We did realize that taking break helps because when you come back, you start patching it again one-by-one automatically and pieces that you saw that doesn't make sense at all 5 mins ago, makes sense 5 minutes later

*tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa*
The end product! I was the genius who solved the mystery of the last 2 pieces
I'm da BOMB :P
