A new found food joint that seems to satisfy the #porkgang criteria:-

1) Good food

2) Got pork

3) Dog friendly

4) Nice environment and service

5) Super plus point for people like me and ST - got booze!

So we decided to make Fitou the destination to head to for a pre-Chinese New Year dinner before most of us headed back to our hometown to celebrate with our loved ones. Really sad though that we can't celebrate together. But it's okay, we are actually planning an actualy Chinese New Year ala Hakka style (the Sungei Buloh phoon choi, will definitely blog about it when we do that)

Oh yes :) this is A, and I brought her along to join us for the #porkgang dinner. Wanted her to meet #porkgang and see how funny and friendly and nice that we are. Along with #doggang. But Suanie and FA wasn't there lor :( better make sure they come along for the proper CNY dinner.

Anyways, I actually managed to train Fatty to show her fangs on demand. Damn best but I need to train her to growl kao kao along with the fangs. Then can teach her to attack on command! Woohooo!

Mushroom soup, don't quite like the taste of it. Seem to be lacking of some cream and a tad too much pepper bleh

On the left: Escargots and on the right Farmer's Salad

The Escargots are too garlic-ky and makes the person eating it feel as it they are downing garlic rather. So it actually overwhelms the taste of the escargots. Kinda wasted lor. I actually prefer the Escargots at Lobsterman :D

Tuna Salad, didn't try this but Kim had it before and she says it is really nice and fresh. ST and her shared a paella and it actually tastes really good. Not what I expected. I had the one at La Bodega before and it is actually kinda gross and too sticky. But the one at Fitou you can actually feel the biji-biji of the rice and the spices compliments it well. As a person that doesn't like rice, I would definitely order this if there are others to share with me.

This is the Spaghetti Carbonara with pork bacon. One word - SYIOK! I love carbonara's that allows you to mix the raw egg along with the creamy sauce and when you eat it, you can taste the egg blending in well with the cream (btw for you guys who worry about eating raw eggs, seriously - cos your pasta is warm it actually cooks the egg up quite fast, so no worries about it)

The pasta is actually so good that you just kenot stop eating it even though you are stuffed to the brim. Yes, it is that good! I have tried better at La Terrase but the place actually closed down, so Fitou is actually second best to it. Apparently Lobsterman has a better pasta with white sauce but I tried it and don't actually like it. Cannot beat this at all lor. But Suanie says that my pasta is the best! Heart you Suan *muaxxx*

Last but not least, my other favorite dish the Farmer's Salad. OMFG salad is damn good! Better then Delicious' Ceaser Salad and the Chilli's salad. This salad is accompanied with 4 huge grilled prawns and loads of 3 layer pork and balsamic sauce. They really blend well together and when you take the first bite, oooo lala like non-vege eater would stim and quickly go order it. The only thing I don't like is the potato because it's too dry and oily and the inside is rather tasteless. But all in all, this plate out of at rating of 10, I would say 9 FTW :)
