The first time I had N agomi Shabu-Shabu was close to 4-5 years ago, if I'm not mistaken. That time was when S and E were still together and we used to dine and drink together almost everyday. We loved Nagomi so much, as the Shabu-Shabu set used to be unlimited and it actually included Salmon Sashimi, as well as Butterfish Sashimi along - for you to cook it in the awesomesauce soup or for your to eat it as it is.

Then they also had RM1 promotions for certain dishes on certain days, I remember they used to have Soft Shell Crab Maki's as well for that RM1 promo, who could resist? I always always loved to go there whenever Japanese food was lingering in my head. Then after a while, got a bit too jelak, S moved away and then E got too busy and going just the 2 of us (me and the bf) isn't quite that fun.

Hence we stopped going there. We rather chill at Vintry, just the both of us, have some drinks and chat about what we both have been busy with after a long day of work.

So when R wanted to have dinner there, the bf was like HARHHHHHHHH?!?!? Are you sure you wanna go there? I thought why not, since it's been a long time lor and got other stuff to eat other then the shabu-shabu ma. Then we agreed and headed there. R came after What The Japanese bought the Bold II as a surprised birthday present for her. Not much of a surprise element, bringing your gf along, but no choice la for a guy as busy as he is.

Wah no regrets heading back, cos I discovered a Soft Shell Crab salad, which is really really REALLY good, wouldn't mind going back for more.

Nagomi has it's lunch Bento sets now

The place still looks the same

Love the S90

The bf and mua, after herbal facial at My Body Secrets - PS: fucking good, should go try it out, seriously

Tuna Belly at RM 18 a piece, WTF - this one not good so not worth the price

The chicken Shabu-shabu set

Comes with minced meat that are form into chicken balls :)

Their special sauce

The bf ordered Chicken soup but Nagomi Soup is actually way better

The superbly delicious Soft Shell Crab salad

Salmon Belly, not good here either. Too fat

And some fish deep fried

Then R and Japanese decided to play Cooking Mama and make their own porridge with the rice and soup provided. It actually taste really good. Wanna know how? Follow the pictures la :P

First you make sure that the pot has about a bowls worth of soup and then u pour your rice inside. Then you bring it to boil

Then under low fire, stir the water till it looks a bit murky-ish

Then at the side, prepare an egg, beat it up as much as you can

When it looks like the soup is almost drying up, add the egg inside

Continue to stir it and add a bit more soup inside if you feel it is insufficient or too dry

The end result *tadaaaa* looks like wart tarn hor right? Damn nice!

Go try it out yourself. This secret recipe is formed by KYness :P
