Do note that this post is a combination of photos of food from various occasions. Some stolen from the bf's camera as well for ericyong77.com. Haven't blogged about this restaurant before, so decided that maybe I should do it now :)
Firstly, a bit surprised to find out that the owner of the restaurant actually plays futsal with the bf. And he works in KFC, which is not related to Tram Car cafe at all. What turf! Anyways, the owners of Tram Car are actually the owners of Cable Car cafe, which used to be located inside Jaya Suppermarket, before it was torn down.
What's the logic for the change of the name? Well in Jaya Supermarket it was on the top floor, so it's high like the cable car, now that it has shifted to 3 Two Square on the ground floor area, it's Tram Car because tram cars run on tracks that are on the ground. Quite logical lah the reasoning. LOL.
According to the bf, during lunch hours on work days, the restaurant is super packed most of the time. Not only cos the food is good, but because they offer set lunches as well, which caters to both the Malay and Chinese + Indian community, as it is a halal restaurant. Though the set lunch is slightly on the pricey side, as compared to the other places like Old Town White Coffee and Papa Rich in 3 Two Square, it actually caters to the white collar corporate people.
