Happy Belated Birthday Mary ;)

Remember my few posts on My Body Secrets? Here, here and here? Well last weekend, the charming ladies at MBS invited me and the bf over to celebrate Mary's birthday at Movida, at Giza. Just realized that they all really know how to enjoy themselves after a long day of work.

Movida is actually quite a nice place to chill and have cheap drinks but don't ever sit upstairs because the strobe lights will shine and make your eyes hurt - kenot see properly, so watery and all that. But on the other hand, the alcohol there is rather affordable and during happy hours they even have a buy one-free-one promo. So that alcoholics like God can drink themselves silly. LOL!

Wanna Rock 'n Roll whilst laughing your wits out?

Come join me on the 13th and 14th May 2010 and head to the 'From a Jack to a King' musical theatre event that will be taking place at Hilton Kuala Lumpur. This British production will be packing us with 20 fun rock and roll songs that you can tap your beat along to.

A little history on the play:

"Olivier Award-Winning British Playwright and director, Bob Carlton, has taken Shakepeare’s famous play “Macbeth” and set it in 1960’s Soho, London. Incorporating numerous all time favourites songs ranging from Jailhouse Rock to You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.

“Matt Devitt will be directing the production and is an ideal choice because he was involved in the original UK production, has a long list of directorial credits and has directed and played one of the leading roles in the musical,” says John Faulkner who is producing the musical with his wife and co-producer, Cecilia Leong-Faulkner.

The musical tells a story of an aspiring but wimpish Eric Glamis who is a wannabe rock star but lacks the drive and guts until three witches take him under their control and make him their choice for fame. Eric proves to be a sensation on the drums and a knock-out guitarist and is taken on by dubious, rock impresario Duke Box who promptly renamed Eric “Thane Cawdor”. However, it’s the current, mega rock star Terry King, complete with motorbike and Elvis impersonations, who stands in Eric’s way to stardom."

* nola! Not the bf, Eric la! LOL

It will be a modern mix of Shakespeare and rock n' roll so be its time to roll your socks down and jiggy with the fun musical event. Hurry and get your tickets before they are sold out. I got mine at RM 278++ for the front tier, but there is also the option of RM 258++ for the second tier. Honestly, just an exta RM 20++ to sit closer and have a better view, so just do it :)

The Baker's Moment's at Sunway Giza

Address:
Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara
(Just Opposite The Strand at Kota Damansara)
Jalan PJU 5/14,
Petaling Jaya,
Selangor Darul Ehsan

Discovered a really healthy sandwich place, thanks to God. It actually taste way nicer then O'Brien's cos the bread is not the standard bread and they actually have alfalfa vegetables in their sandwiches. What joy! Alfalfa is damn bloody hard to find and expensive plus nutritious as well. Seriously having a sandwich here actually makes you feel really healthy and feel good factor after munching down the sandwiches. Plus you can even customize it.

Then I realized WTF, there is actually a shop located in between the Ground Floor walkway from Ikano to Ikea. But it does not feel as comfortable as the one at Sunway Giza. I ate in once and another time I tapao-ed and the lady boss super nice! She actually drowned my sandwich with Alfalfa. Super heart! And it's cheaper then O'Brien's. Super ons!

Horny trying to decide from their Combo Menu

Add RM 1 for a bottle of juice

The variety of Sandwiches on the menu

I heart Baker's Moments

Fucking ons Salmon with Alfalfa

Flying chicken, also got Alfalfa!

Ying Ker Lou Hakka Cuisine, Gardens Mall

Address:
Gardens Shopping Mall
Lot S231 & 232,
2nd Floor
(Same side as Isetan)

Contact: 03-2284 8480

Super late lunch, couldn't decide on what to eat, so we decided to head to Ying Ker Lou, as we were at the Gardens Shopping Mall. The rest of the restaurants have been patronized by us till it's worn off its hype.

The tea here cost RM 7 a person, Uncle Horny decided that he wanted to treat himself a nice cuppa - I mean potta tea. LOL, sounds even more Uncle like that!

Horny's layered pork noodles

Pork noodles with minced pork meat, very nice :)

Khor Soh Tong's Curry pork noodles *LOL*

Love this braised pork meat dish, so yummy! Tastes just like what mummy cooks just missing the salted egg and for some other house, they will include century egg bits inside as well. But mum knows we don't like it, so our only has salted egg.

Lastly the 3 cup chicken, RM 28 a pot. Still prefer Lucky Loke's one better. Plus Lucky Loke is cheaper as well. So it's not worth ordering this dish you head there.
