Avira was launched at G Tower's Bridge bar last week, thanks to Smashpop and Avira for the invitation, we got to see the Avira Double Value, Double Speed Launch - an anti virus that protect your computer from any goddamn viruses out there. :P

Hennessy Artistry the aftermath :)

Last weekend was the showdown of one of the biggest party of the year! Catering to over 4,000++ people, it rocked the socks out of all of them XD the queue started from 8pm onwards, though as Malaysians, mostly came after 9pm, cos invites said 9pm doors open and it was slightly drizzling - even more people will be late :P but those late comers lost out, because they didn't get to be photographed with the heartthrob Henry Golding and all time favorite Fly FM DJ Phat Fabes (who is a real awesome guy :)

The decorations was awesome! I was awed when I went into the main hall, after the mixology section, which everyone had to pass through. They thought you how to spin like a DJ and the correct concoction for your favorite Hennessy mix - mine was the Apple at the initial stage, but after I tried the Citrus, I never looked back 8D (1 shot of coke, 1 shot of Citrus and 1 shot of Hennessy - the perfect mixture for the Hennessy Citrus)

We were entertained with Malaysia's all time favorite singer, Mizz Nina

Then Da Mouth came up and all the girls starting swoon-ing after the guys *points up*

Seriously! There were 2 girls that kept coming to my area so that they can take photos and videos of him and it was like non-stop. All of us were ROFLOL-ing cos they are such fanbois :D

Can't wait till next year Hennessy Artistry! Woot!

G Tower located in the heart of Malaysia's city centre, is Malaysia's first Green Building - hence the probably reason of highlighting the chili? When I first heard of G Tower was via Joe and Azrul, they were the crew that were paid to shoot the hotel and heck I must say, with Azrul's qualification, they did an awesome job. They showed us some of the photos from the shoots and already then I felt, must go and check this place out, especially Bridge Bar.

So, me, the bf, and some other friends went to check out the place before it was close for special invitation only. Apparently they were going to make it a members only club with charges of RM 8,000 a year not including drinks, drinks are a separate charge all together - then what benefits do you get? To chill at the lounge and their business centre and use their computers and meeting rooms for functions and such.

It's a nicer and quieter place to chill, as compared to Luna Bar and Sky Bar, those are noisy places with loud music playing but here is more towards groups of people hanging out together, suitable to have business chats here as well.

I like the sofa, so classic!

Look at the floor, you see the glass thing there? If you look down, it is actually see through and it feels like a free fall through the hole - if you can fit

We sat outside with a chilling view of the KL Skyline, I love how the cars looks like it is sashaying around on the road from the top view. A bit scary as well for those whom are afraid of heights.

I heard that it is still not open for membership yet, so better head over to check it out before they start making it members only!

Korean Food Promo, eat until you pass out!

Last Friday, Ken and Wingz invited me and the bf for a Korean Food Promo at The One World Hotel. The Korean Food Promo, supported by the Korean Tourism Organization was located at the Cinnamon Coffee House (LG level) of One Would Hotel with the event graced by ministers and had opening acts by the Korean Traditional Music Association in Malaysia. I didn't even know such a thing existed *teehehe*

The Korean Food Promo will be happening from 15-23 October 2010. So hurry now and don't miss out! I know this is a Korean thing but there is an array of Local and International Cuisine available as well, so those whom LOVES Japanese like I DO can enjoy the freshly sliced Salmon, Butterfish, Tuna, as well as scallops (I'm not a fan) and crabs! Super yummy! OH YES! And tempura too, FYI, it's located at the end of the dining area, my suggestion would be to get seats outside on the deck, as it is cooling and has a nice ambiance to it, but kiasu people shouldn't seat there cos their access to food isn't as convenient as sitting inside.

They have our local tradition of Dim Sum, Chicken Rice, Yong Tau Fu and various others but I prefer the chicken rice and the duck the best amongst all, as the rice is very fragrant and the moist is just right! The duck is very juicy as well, only slack part is that there is no sauce for the duck, so the taste is missing a little something something.

After numerous recommendations from friends and many failed attempts of trying to head to Cafe Barbera for breakfast or tea, we finally managed to head over to try out the place. So I heard the carbonara was fantastic and I decided to try that out. But kinda regretted because it really isn't anything to shout about.

The clam chowder soup wasn't good as well. Very little clam chowder, even those that were in the soup were pretty miserable in size. :( the taste was very diluted and even after drowning the soup with loads of pepper and salt, it still wasn't good, even the bf didn't finish the soup.

Verdict:

Carbonara: 3/10

Clam Chowder: 2/10

Highly not recommended to try but next round probably the coffee and pastries as Becky mention that they are rather good.
