Legendary funny man Leslie Nielsen died yesterday of complications of pneumonia in a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, this according to his agent. He was 84.

Heineken Thirst is also launching Found @ Thirst, a DJ talent search where the first prize will claim a spot for the winner to play in the Godskitchen Boombox at Thirst. There’s also RM10,000 cash, a return trip for 2 to an international music festival and Pioneer pro DJ equipment. All you need to do is upload a minimum 20 minute audio set onto any hosting site (eg. Soundcloud), and also upload a minimum 10 minute video of yourself working the turntable onto any hosting site (eg. YouTube).

Croydon based Walsh has been a part of the Dubstep scene from day 1. Previously Walsh was known for his twice-weekly shows on London’s Delight 103.00FM back to back with N-Type which catered for the "darker side" of UK Garage. Walsh is owner of Biscuit Factory Records with Releases from BENGA, N-TYPE, CHIMPO, TES LA ROK, BIOME AND MATT-U with many more to feature in the future. Having released on major labels such as Texture and Hotflush with the likes of Benga & Kromestar Walsh has become a key player in the Dubstep scene. He is known for his tight mixing skills playing the freshest dubplates the music has to offer. Walsh is also known internationally, playing at many events across the world as well as all over the UK on a regular basis to include the infamous DMZ & FWD nights. He is a regular guest on Rinse, Kiss and Radio 1.

Angles are Deceiving

It depends on how you look at certain things, but every photo and angle can translate to a different message. If u look from a certain angle you may think the pictures above is like a wanna be, whore-y HyperTune car photo shoot but it actually isn't. It is somebody trying to translate a tragic accident into a photo to express her flow / train of thoughts.

Like I woke up this morning and looked at my doggie, when I look at her at certain angles I feel she is so cute, whilst at another angle she looks old, not like the little puppy I used to have, somewhat so deceiving, I couldn't register what I was seeing.

I have missed styling and assisting so much, it's been a long time. Miss the crew tons!

The SHOUT! Awards 2010.

Last weekend I went to the SHOUT! Awards 2010 - thanks to my special invites from Sirens Media and also Celcom Xplay! We got there really early; the bf was kinda kiasu and wanted to get closer car parks, which we really did. But when we got there at 5.30pm - the whole place was already packed though - but thankfully we didnt park too far away.

After meeting up with the rest, we enter the Putra Stadium at Bukit Jalil - which is the home to the 2010 SHOUT! Awards!!!!!!!!!

Recently, I discovered another interesting feature of the iTalkWhoa!

The portal can also do RSS FEEDS!!!!!!!!

Do you know what on earth is RSS? Yes, the RSS is really the shortform for "Really Simple Syndication". And then you all may ask - what’s the point of having RSS Feeds? RSS Feeds enable you to get news feeds and updates on any topics that interest you fast and easy. The best part is you don’t have to click and check on your favourite blogs or websites to know of the latest updates - all you need is RSS Feeds.

The RSS feeds in iTalk Whoa! has turned out to be one of the most awesome features of the iTalk Whoa! Subscribing to the RSS feeds does not require or need you to give all kinds of personal information or whatever other unnecessary information - you dont even need to give your email address! So, that means no more getting all kinds of spam mails now!

So... how do you configure the RSS feeds on your iTalkWhoa! account?

First, click on the RSS Feeds under Mail panel and then on New Group to create a new category/group. Then, the Pop up box [RSSFeed Category Name] will appear and please input any name for the new group – example News. Click on button [Add] - and the News Feeds will automatically appear in current Category Panel.

A Little Something Something about DETV

In my previous post – here (link to previous post), I spoke briefly about DETV and thought it was something interesting to share. Once you got hold of your DETV decoder, it is as simple as A-B-C: -

1. All you need is a broadband connection of 1Mbps (StreamyX – it works on DIGI’s MiFi as well but the streaming is pretty slow that you actually can’t enjoy the shows properly as it gets really choppy while screening the shows) and a BIG screen TV to get started.
2. Install a DETV set top box and get full control over your TV viewing experience, with 72 hours of recording time that allows you to pause, fast forward, rewind, stop or bookmark programs.
3. Relax and enjoy endless hours of viewing pleasure indulging in the most entertaining Chinese programs.

With over 30 channels of Chinese programs, this breakthrough in Television allows you the viewing pleasure of the following: - (refer to pictures below ☺ )

Top, popular and highly recommended movies can be seen under the DVD Buffet section. Saturday was packed with tons of things to do. Meetings in the morning, errands to run, supposed to head to my neighbors open house but had to leave before the caterer came - sorry babe! Make it up to you! Sent the little ones for shower, rush to pick them up before heading home to drop them, change, get ready etc.

No time to even take a breather!

But it was all good fun, because the night was superb, thanks to Celcom for organizing such a fun party - especially the after party part *winks* those of you who stayed back would know why. Got to see a lot of funny antics going on as well.
