Its Time to try Something New

I never thought that a website could be that interesting, and it is even more amazing that this is a site about sanitary pads! Most people tend to shy away from talking about pads, but hey, it is something that every woman needs and there is always lack of information on this necessity.

The Libresse website have tons of information on Libresse sanitary pads – each and every type available on the market. If you click on “What is Libresse?”, you will find a comprehensive infomercial on what makes Libresse so different from other sanitary pads.

“What is so special about Libresse?” Most women would ask that question since there are so many different brands and types of pad on the market. Well, Libresse has two main benefits which is not available in other brands – Secure Fit and DHC (Deep Flow Channels). If you check out the website, you can click on the image of the pad; you can see the different areas of the pad and the explanation for each unique section. I was pretty curious so I literally clicked on everything that was clickable. Haha.

One thing I highly recommend you to do. There is a fun interactive video section called “Watch your favourite celebrities try new things”. Click on it! You MUST MUST MUST play with this section as it is really impressive and fun. I clicked on the English language selection to watch Adibah do fun new things and at the end of the first video, I was asked to help her make a choice on which new thing to try out next. I had to enter my phone number and name, and they actually called! Well, it was a prerecorded call but it was fun nevertheless. After choosing which experience you want to see next, the next video will be played. Sounds fun? Try it! There are also videos by popular singer Yuna in Bahasa Melayu, and the charming Chong sisters Pam and Van talking to you in Mandarin. I actually clicked on all the videos! Haha. That was how interesting it was. It was also fun to see how these celebrities handle the extremities of the task they are given. If you remember those “Choose your own adventure” books, these videos were something along those lines. You don't have to worry about prank calls or someone on the other line trying to sell you something. It is straightforward and this is the first time I've seen something like this done on any website or commercial.

If you are one of those girls (like myself) who tend to miss lots of fun TV commercials, you should check out the Libresse commercials posted on the site. I found the commercials pretty entertaining, and that says a lot looking at the many lame commercials there are shown on TV these days.

Also on the website, there is also a section called “Grrl Power”; it has tips on the four major things girls tend to worry about – finance, relationship, career and investment. The tips are pretty helpful especially for young girls who need to learn how to invest and manage their money. On top of that, there are also links in each subsection, so if you want to know more about a particular subject, you can check it out without having to search for sources all over the internet.

I find the Libresse website is more than just a site about the brand. There are lots of other information that girls should know about and there are even links to other useful sites on education, finance and credit management, fitness and even entrepreneurship. I believe these topics are important to women especially at this time and age where we need to find a way to live a fulfilling life independently.

By the way, don't forget the “Goodies” section! I found the games in that section fun to play. Although the games seem simple, don't be fooled! There are three games based on three celebrities; Yuna, Adibah, and Pam and Van. Yuna's game is very much like Tap Tap Revenge or Guitar Hero. You've got to press A, S, J, K or L accordingly as the music notes fall down to the lighted bottom. Each correct hit causes more notes to drop down. I tried playing it so many times and when there were too many notes my fingers just knotted up! It is not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Maybe I need to practice more to increase my eye-hand coordination.

Adibah's game is easy and a little hilarious. You just need to keep the balls in the area bouncing while controlling a figure of Adibah. The amusing thing is that if you pay closer attention, Adibah uses her butt to bounce the balls around! I found that hilarious and very much in character with Adibah's fun personality. As for Pam and Van's game, you need to keep the stick on which the vase Pam is balancing on steady to prevent her from falling. As time passes, the stick gets shorter making it more difficult to keep both the vase and Pam steadily balanced. Sounds pretty fun, right? You really should check out the site as soon as possible.

You can also download widgets, screensavers, wallpapers, and even ringtones from the “Goodies” section. Psst.. check out the ringtones. They are really funny!

Do you like free stuff? Well, I do. Especially when the goodies I get for free are useful and beneficial. Having said that, Libresse is giving away a pack of sanitary pads for you to try! I think the whole campaign is cool. It does not only focus on Libresse products alone, but the sheer fact that as a girl, we should not be afraid to try something new whether it is about trying out a new act or learning something new. Just like how I am going to start going for yoga which is totally not my thing as I am usually doing exciting things like off-roading, traveling and even trying out unnamed beauty products. But if I always stick to what I know, life would be boring.
