And We Cooked Dinner

Been away for a few weeks now and constantly craving food back home. One of my cravings were the Hainanese Chicken Rice from Restaurant Satellite so close to home! (I miss!) >.<

It didnt help when Sha Dar cooked it and posted it online as well! So I googled for the recipe and sent it to the bf and asked him to cook it for me. Which we did it together eventually, it was fun ^^

The site was really comprehensive with picture references so that you have a rough idea what you are doing isn't wrong and don't fuck it up!

Site: http://steamykitchen.com/5068-hainanese-chicken-rice.html

For Quick Ingredients and Steps refer to the link above, it really is so easy! Except the cutting the chicken part and make sure your chicken isn't an extremely fat chicken or the time quoted is not enough. You would have to boil it longer.

Have fun cooking!

Pot of Happiness :D

Restaurant Mei Six Hin
No.G-62, Jalan Prima SG 3/1,
Prima Sri Gombak,
68100 Selangor.
+017 27 999 27 (Winnie)

With constant cravings for phoon choi (a Hakka dish which is served in a claypot and filled with all kinds of meat from seafood to chicken, duck and pork)

Thanks to Evelyn, we discovered a new restaurant other than LYJ that I somehow felt the quality has deteriorated since the first time I was there. Mei Six restaurant actually serves a much more flavourful and appetising phoon choi.

On a normal basis a pot of phoon chou is meant to serve for 6-8 people (depending on the size of their appetite) however being epicly ridiculous me, D and A (YES! The three of us) braved the journey there with no clue where the place was and a malfunctioning GPS. :DDD

Worth the drive there for sure and definitely a satisfied - returning customer!
